According to McKinsey, a survey of 1,650 global corporations found that while there was a universal acknowledgement that digital transformation was critical to success in a highly competitive market, just 20 percent of respondents indicate that they had a digital implementation strategy. Of those. A paltry 2 percent of these strategies include the supply chain.
A recently published Deloitte Global CPO survey reports that “most companies that have fully implemented digital technologies are not satisfied with the results.” The takeaway from the McKinsey survey is that most companies aren’t making a move on digital because they are uncertain as to how to do it, and whether it will work. The Deloitte survey result would seem to support their caution.
