Sol Lemoigne joins Market Dojo as the company’s latest International Business Development Manager helping Marcin and Karina to broaden our reach further into Europe and across the world.
We have asked Sol a number of questions to get to know her a little better.
What do you do at Market Dojo and how long have you worked there for?
I am a Business Development Manager focusing mainly on German-speaking markets. We need to get the word out there that our software is fantastic and does not know any limits! It is my second day at Market Dojo and I am very happy I joined. I am impressed with all the options available of the software while being very user-friendly. The scope of clients it can reach creates a lot of opportunities for us to target new audiences.
What is your favourite book/movie?
I will sound like a real French nationalist, but Les Miserables is my favourite. Victor Hugo’s masterpiece depicts numerous characters who encounter misery at some point during the book. They all decide their own path in how to run away from it, whether it is through honesty, wealth, crime, work, love, or beliefs…Although the title might let you think that the book is very melancholic and sorrowful, it is, in reality, a ray of hope for everyone.
What are your hobbies and interests?
I play Semi-Professional basketball for the Cardiff Met Archers team in Wales. I have been playing basketball all my life and I don’t see how I could live without it. It is very challenging to play at this level while working full time, however, it is the kind of balance I need for my happiness!
I also read as much as I can in my free time. I started a blog where I write book reviews for anyone wondering what their next read could be! https://ffwartchroniclesworld.tumblr.com/
If you could be any animal what would you be?
We might form a funny duo with Adam because I would also be a Penguin! They are so cute and clumsy that you can only like them. (Warning for the team: I tend to break a lot of stuff and hurt myself for no reason).
What actor would you cast to play yourself in a movie?
Probably myself because I am a terrible actress so the audience could switch between comedy and drama in no time looking at my performance.
Where have you travelled? Favourite place?
Before joining MarketDojo, I have been travelling for 10 months in South East Asia. Although a lot of people of my generation do it and it might seem oversold, I do recommend it to anyone looking for adventures. The travels changed many aspects of my personality and I had the chance to be a volunteer teacher in Myanmar, where people are among the poorest in the world but give you everything.
What’s on your bucket list?
Since my travels, I know what I want (well, for most parts) and I am very much looking forward to settling in. Buying a house would be the first step towards proper adulthood!
