COVID-19 Market Dojo's Official Statement To Our Customers
At Market Dojo, we pride ourselves on the usability and adaptability of all our solutions. Our procurement software has been built with ease of use in mind and last month we really put this to the test, by inviting school children to use our eSourcing platform during a ‘Maths in Action’ event!
The Market Dojo team attended Kingsmead School in Cannock, to participate in the event which aims to inspire young students, particularly girls, to consider a career in STEM (Science, Technology Engineering and Maths) subjects.
To make the day as beneficial as possible, the student’s tasks were based on their school’s real-life requirements. Giving the students a chance to help their school organise its procurement needs for the next school year. They were assisted by a group of professionals, including members of Market Dojo’s team who were there to guide them on their way.
Market Dojo is already used in many educational programs around the world, from MBA’s to Masters, as an example of how a modern procurement system can assist procurement teams in managing tenders and reducing supplier risk.
When recently asked, Alain Alleaume, a Procurement Masters Lecturer in France, why he chose to use Market Dojo with his students, he replied “Market Dojo is the easiest tool to show the power of e-sourcing. Anyone can register on the platform, and test how to manage an RFI, RFQ and even see how exciting a reverse auction can be. And it’s super easy to use.”
At the ‘Maths in Action’ event, the students were divided into 4 teams, 1 buyers team and 3 supplier teams. The team of buyers defined their need before using Market Dojo’s eSourcing software module, to invite the suppliers to participate. Each supplier team then had to present their offer through the tool.

The ‘Maths in Action’ Campaign was initiated by Craig Mincher, who is the Head of Operational Transformation at Interserve. Interserve’s procurement team are a long term user of the Market Dojo procurement platform.
After the event, Craig Mincher commented: “The day has been brilliant. I think that the students have learnt valuable life skills that will benefit them in the future. The day was long and tiring, but well worth it!”
As for the students, they were thrilled by the opportunity. One female student said: “It was very interesting to learn about the technical aspects of business; I felt like I was in the shoes of a real business-person and can see that this event will teach me important, transferable skills.”
The Market Dojo team were delighted to have been part of the ‘Maths in Action’ event and look forward to collaborating further with the programme in the future. In doing so, helping to encourage the next generation of Procurement professionals to adapt best-of-breed, modern, procurement solutions.
