2019 was a huge year for Market Dojo, as we introduced more new features to our software than ever before. We saw Multistage RFQ’s added to our eSourcing platform, multiple improvements made to SIM Dojo and not to mention the release of our new Contract Management Solution.
With so much going on it’s entirely possible you didn’t catch everything. So, our Product Manager, Ben Harvey, will be running a webinar on Wednesday, January 22nd at 11:30am GMT, to revisit the features that were brought to our solutions in 2019.
Ben will be demoing many of the new features live, explaining why the features were introduced, while showing how they are accessed through the tools.
Sign-ups are now open for the webinar and you can join Ben by signing up here.
In the meantime, here is an overview of some of the highlights from 2019:
Improved Security Administration
Our ‘Host Permissions’ page had a complete overhaul. Back in January, the page was totally redesigned and rewritten from the ground up. It is now much quicker to manage users permissions, with all the settings available in one place. Settings can now be quickly amended without having to refresh the screen.
Improved Scoring For Dependent Questions
We have had the ability to connect questions for some time. For example:
Q1. Do you offer Construction Services
Q2. Do you hold a Construction Industry Scheme Certificate
In this case, we only want to ask Question 2, if the answer to Question 1 is ‘Yes’.
Previously when it came to scoring, it was necessary to score Q1 manually, regardless of the participants’ answer. We updated this, so the system will automatically score Q1 if Q2 is not required. This feature was introduced to save scorers time, allowing them to focus on areas where their judgement is most important.
Supplier Onboarding – Adding Mass ‘Re-invite’
Our customers asked us to make it easier to re-invite several suppliers in one go. So this is what we did. On the event participant screen, users can now select multiple participants at once before mass re-inviting them.
‘Sideways’ Questionnaire Scoring
Users can now score their questionnaires ‘sideways’! This new feature allows scorers to score all participants for a single question, rather than having to score a single participant for every question. The result? A better way for scorers to ensure consistency and complete scoring activities quicker and more accurately. This feature has received great feedback from our customers who have started using it.
Integration with Power BI
To give our users access to the latest in reporting technology, we now provide integration with Power BI; Microsoft’s premier analytics service.
It delivers access to interactive visuals, drawing data from a number of sources; allowing you to share business performance and make fast informed decisions.
Although exporting data from Market Dojo into PowerBI has been possible for a while, we’ve now added a “Reporting” tab, which allows you to see your data all in one place, within the tool.
For more information please see the Power BI website here.
Participant Questionnaire Progression
Hosts can now view how their participants are progressing with a particular questionnaire. When opening any questionnaire ‘in progress’, each participant now has a percentage bar, displaying how much of the questionnaire has been completed thus far. This gives scorers a chance to monitor any suppliers that might need prompting or contacting.
Added Language Capabilities
Our language capabilities have continued to expand, with traditional Chinese amongst others now added. We are always looking to grow the available options, so if you have any suggestions let us know.
Hyperlinking Documents
In many cases, you may want to include a document within the event brief, questionnaire description or question description. Previously this could be achieved by sourcing the URL and manually including this, but we have now made it simpler to link to any document against the event.
When in a rich text field, by clicking on the ‘link’ option, users can allow participants to download documents directly from the text.
Lot Download Improvements
The downloads for both simple and advanced lots have been updated, to make it easier to identify key information, and manipulate data.
The multiple tables have been collated into a single table holding all of the bid information.
The best suppliers by lot are displayed first horizontally and then scrolling will take you through each of the participants in turn.
This has removed the repeat data that was previously provided for each supplier and made it simpler to pivot the table and reinterpret the data.
Quick Quotes Cloning
When cloning an event from the dashboard, hosts now have the additional option to clone a quick quote event. Similar to the existing Market Dojo cloning, the exact scope of the duplicated event can be set as can be seen below.
Expired Document Clarity
We made a number of changes to how participants are informed and instructed to update their expired documents:
