COVID-19: Learn how Market Dojo can help, including our free of charge COVID-19 Risk Awareness RFI
At Market Dojo we are pleased to announce the business’ newest Customer Success Manager, El Towers who has recently joined our team. We asked El a few questions to get to know her a little better and find out what makes her tick.
What do you do at Market Dojo and how long have you worked there for?
I’ve just joined Market Dojo as the new Customer Success Manager so it’s a really exciting time for me! I’m still getting settled in and learning about the company and my role but my main responsibilities will be to ensure that new customers get up and running quickly and effectively and to help our customers get the most out of our software.
What made you apply to work at Market Dojo?
I was looking to join a growing tech company with a great product and approach. For me it was important to find a company that I could feel passionate about working for and so far Market Dojo has not disappointed.
How have you found your time so far at Market Dojo and what have you found interesting?
I’m really enjoying my new role. The team are all really friendly and it’s clear that everyone is bought into the company and product which is great to see. It’s brilliant to be working for a company where everyone sees the importance of understanding our customers and their needs and wants to help make sure that customers receive the best possible software and support. Having never worked in procurement, it’s been really interesting for me to learn about a new industry and to see how the Market Dojo software can have such a large impact on customers from both a time and financial perspective.
What is the most unusual job you have ever had?
I’ve not done anything too strange, but I’ve had quite a variety of jobs, particularly when I was backpacking around Australia. My roles there ranged from selling funeral insurance, to signing people up to Greenpeace, to picking butternut squash. I also had a job as a taxi controller when I was a teenager. I used to sit in a hut on my own in the countryside and tell the taxi drivers where to go – an unusual choice of role since I didn’t drive at the time and I really struggle with directions and maps!
What is the most embarrassing song you have on your phone?
Katy Perry – Roar? The more embarrassing thing about this song is that my friend and I ditched our other mates and ran across Glastonbury to watch her sing this on the Pyramid stage. We managed to sneak our way right to the front too. We were definitely too old to be there.
What are your hobbies and interests?
I’m a very active person like to say yes to everything. I swim a few times a week and go to yoga classes and indoor climbing. I’m also part of a netball team, although we just play in a friendly league and rarely win.
What is your biggest claim to fame?
I spent a summer in Malia, Crete, and worked at the same bar as Gaz from Geordie Shore for two nights (before he was famous)… his face is blocking me out of our work group picture. Not a fan.
If you could be any animal what would you be?
Probably a dolphin? They always look pretty happy and just get to swim all day.
Where have you travelled? Favourite place?
I love to see new places and for me travel is an absolute essential – I’m constantly on Skyscanner looking for cheap flights. I think that some of my favourites so far have been Iceland for the scenery and Thailand for the beaches and food. Trekking in Nepal was also an amazing experience.
What’s on your bucket list?
I’m hoping to have seen 30 countries by the time I’m 30. I’m on 24 at the moment with 3 booked in so just need to find time for another 3 before July…
