I have a confession to make.

There have been times when I have jumped ahead to the end to solve the mystery after reading the first chapter or two of a “whodunit” novel. I also have, on occasion, when binge-watching a Netflix series, “Googled” a character to see if a season-ending cliffhanger meant they were no longer in the show.

Come on, you have done these things, too – we all have.

However, the warnings not to look at the end are true because they generally ruin the rest of the show.

But, there are exceptions to the “jumping-to-the-end” rule – today’s post is one of them.

Sourcing Is Important (Yada, Yada)

Reading the above, do you have any argument with its points? Why would you? It is common sense. In short, we already know that strategic sourcing is “important” – yada, yada.

How Do You Achieve Sourcing Success – Start at The End!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I don’t know who they are exactly, but they are right.

How do you achieve sourcing success? The answer is 86%.

According to the poll taken at the beginning of the webinar, the results of which were shared at the end, 86% say they require support and improvement in elevating their sourcing practice.

There are two critical takeaways from the above:

1. Talking about strategic sourcing is like talking about the weather; everyone seems to be saying something, but what are the results (hint 86%)?

2. Given all the webinars I have moderated, been on the panel, or attended, industry experience and expertise have always been the key differentiator.
