To follow on from our recent ‘A Decade of Dojo’ blog, we thought now would be an opportune time to share with you some remarkable facts about Market Dojo. Perhaps in amongst these lies the secret to our success over the past 10 years.
1. Market Dojo is 10 years old
As mentioned above, we’ve recently reached this incredible milestone. We’d like to say a massive “Thank You” to everyone who has helped up along the way. You can read our “A Decade of Dojo” Blog here.
2. Many Weird and Wonderful Tenders
We’ve had many weird and wonderful categories tendered in our tool. Some of these include a news channel, Golf carts, Honey & Jam, Rainbow Paint, Fire extinguishers, Lifeguard services and pig launchers. One of our personal favourites is using the Japanese Auction for the construction of a Premier League football club training ground!
We have written a blog about the amazing range of things you can reverse auction here. We also have a webinar that discusses why eSourcing is suitable for almost any category.
3. Largest Events
Our largest supplier onboarding event with SIM Dojo event had 14000 participants, while our clients largest Sourcing event had 1200 participants.
4. Frequency of bids
On average we’ve had 1.6 bids every ten minutes in the last ten years.
5. Smallest and largest clients
We work with one person consultancies through to large clients such as Metroline, Logitech, Imperial Brands, Paddy Power, Aggreko and many more. When I asked the team to say who was our biggest, it sparked a debate around which dimension to use. Number of auctions, turnover or simply their supporter base (we work with some premier league football teams).
We have worked with over 300 clients over the years across 65 industries.
6. Benford’s Law
Market Dojos bids follow Benford’s law, a law that is used by governments to catch fraudsters out! Check out our blog to find out more.
